By installing, copying, or otherwise using GuideMi, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by the terms and conditions set forth in this Legal Notice. If you do not agree to these terms, you must not install or use this software.

GuideMi is developed by Bo Lv, and is part of the SciSuite product family.

License Agreement

GuideMi is proprietary software. By installing or using GuideMi, you agree to the following terms:

  1. Grant of License. You are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use GuideMi for personal or commercial purposes, subject to the terms of this agreement.
  2. Unregistered Version. The unregistered version of GuideMi is fully functional and may be used for evaluation purposes. After the trial period, you are expected to purchase a license to continue using the software.
  3. Restrictions. You may not:
    • Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the software.
    • Modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on the software.
    • Redistribute, sublicense, rent, lease, or lend the software to any third party.
    • Remove or alter any copyright notices, trademarks, or other proprietary markings.
  4. Ownership. The software and all copies thereof remain the intellectual property of Bo Lv. This license does not grant you any ownership rights.
  5. Termination. This license is effective until terminated. It will terminate automatically without notice if you fail to comply with any term of this agreement. Upon termination, you must cease all use of the software and destroy all copies in your possession.
  6. Updates. Any updates, patches, or new versions of GuideMi provided to you are subject to the terms of this agreement.
  7. Entire Agreement. This Legal Notice constitutes the entire agreement between you and Bo Lv regarding the use of GuideMi and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous understandings, communications, or agreements, whether written or oral.

Disclaimer of Warranty

THIS SOFTWARE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO THE WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NONINFRINGEMENT. IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHOR BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM, DAMAGES, OR OTHER LIABILITY, WHETHER IN AN ACTION OF CONTRACT, TORT, OR OTHERWISE, ARISING FROM, OUT OF, OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE SOFTWARE OR THE USE OR OTHER DEALINGS IN THE SOFTWARE.

Limitation of Liability

In no event shall Bo Lv be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of profits, or business interruption, however caused and on any theory of liability, whether in contract, strict liability, or tort, arising in any way out of the use of this software.

Trademarks

Privacy

GuideMi stores all plugin settings and preferences locally within Adobe Illustrator's application data. GuideMi does not collect or share personal data for advertising or third-party purposes.

When activating a license, your email address and registration key are transmitted to our verification server over a secure connection solely for the purpose of validating your license. No other personal data is collected or transmitted during this process.

Governing Law

This agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
